This is not good at all.For what they are doing?They can do it if there is no food available.I cant say they are true sikh or nihang.

They can.t be true nihangs,for what they are doing,maasa haari {non vegetarian} can't be a true sikh,

The truth should come forward and people should know the true Sikhi, where meat is permitted for Sikhs but only Chatka and not cut Kuttha. Maas Maas Muakh Ka Chagra. Akal Takth ruling (Hukam nama) February 1980,Chatka is allowed for sikhs.

There is no such thing as chatka in Sikhi thats a misconception most people have...what is the diff u're killing an innocent animal both ways does it really matter how u kill it?? killing is a killing.........there r so many things nihangs do that are against the sikhi like sukha or sardai, goat killing and so on.......i cant figure out how in the first place these things entered into sikhi??? true singhs of the guru werent doing these things before. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont be fooled by Ancient Dharmic Tradition, you no longer worship idols and you no longer are forced to live a veg lifestyle. Its the choice we all have . Most people are ignorant as to why Nihangs do this. It has very little to do with actually eating meat. Prior to killing the goat, Chandi di var must be read. Then when the Singh is about to take the strike, they scream "akaal". The purpose is to create bir ras and practice for war when you must be prepared to kill the one attacking you with no hesitation. The soldier aspect of sikhi has been diluted. Also, animal skins have been used for centuries. Where do you think the leather comes from for your tablas? Guru Sahib made saint soldiers. True mainstream Sikhi as shared with the west by Singh Sahib Bhajan Singh Yogi Ji encapsulated all aspects of the Sikh cultural spectrum, but shunned 'cultish' ritual aspects such as the desire to butcher animals for pleasure, and enslavement to intoxicants as found in the cultural Punjabi Sikhs, whether patit or with kes. These actions are neither saintly nor those of a proud warrior tradition, and do not accurately reflect Sikhi. Gurpyar Singh from Hazur Singh Ji you obviously want to chak maas, and that is your decision. The rehatnama you quote, if authentic, suggests that if one is to chak maas then partake in chatka and nothing else i.e. kill yourself and not buy or consume halal. Jhatka is no maryada. Maryada is what must be done. Nowhere in Gurbani is it stipulated that Jhatka must be chak, but the consequences of chakingj jhatka are shared with the seeker so that we are making such decisions with our eyes wide open. Those who wish to chak maas do it at their peril, without regard to the virtues of daya or darr of our consiusness or thought of Akaal Purakh and His Creation. SGGS Ji explains to us: Jeea badh-hu su dharam kar thaaphu, adharam kaih-hu kat bhaaee. Aapas kao munivar kar thaphu, ka kao kaih-hu kaasaaee? why oh why are sikh's the only people who continue with this debate on and on? every othe community accept's there are vegetarian's and non-vegeterian's in society except some blind so called sikh's. Guru Nanak has clearly stated in Guru Granth Sahib Ji that those who argue about it are fool's and do not know about religion ang 1289 g.g.s.j. so this clearly make's all modern sant's fool's. lock them all up in a room with lion's then they will understand the law of nature God's law.

Is not the intent of the Sikh to seek the Divine? When the path is struck, must not the first steps be within ourselves? Does not death reside in all of us? meat is not premitted in sikhism. nihangs use to eat meat when there was nothing to eat. meaning that without beans leaf etc.. then you can eat meat. however you are eating meat jjust for the taste of the tongue that is not allowed. it says in guru granth sahib ji. and the panj granthi, and the bachitar natak. now there is all sorts of vegetarain food this is not allowed in sikhism
