Comments have been made by people from Europe who have never been to any Nihang areas. They have seen Nihangs but dont know about them. They have their own rules, customs and rituals. A simple way to know them is to visit any Mela in punjab like Jor Mela at Fatehgarh Sahib or Holla Mohalla at Anandpur Sahib, then you will know the truth of the hard life of NIhangs. The discussion above is going a bit hot. Quite obvious mostly young blood has been watching these photos. Singh means lion. But to be able to called as a lion five people gave their heads and became the first ever singhs. But there is no evidence in history that those lions ever needed to eat meat to prove that they could be lions only if they ate meat. In Anadpur Sahib's seige thousands of sikhs died of hunger and the rest survived on leaves of trees in the fort. But they did not kill animals. There is some evidence that they did kill already dying horses after many months of hunger and suffering. It is quite obvious to anyone that at that point they killed horses for survival not because their taste buds were dying to taste meat. This message is hardly going to change a meat eater to a vegetarian. But I just request people not to claim that sikhism allows meat eating because we are lions. We are lions because of our bravery and not because we grab an innocent animal still so that a third person can cull it as in the picture above. In fact this is exactly what the muslim rulers of the time did to Singhs. As far as I know we don't remember those rulers as lions but we remember shaheed singhs as true lions. waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fatehji.. yes i do agree nihang singhs were in the army of guru sahib but nw its corupted.. in 1984 wer were they.. they were al bought by the goverment.. its all the government poligami.... tiil today u stil cn see the amount of licour n all in punjab.. the puhla who jus died he was a dirty man.. brought girls used them n throw them away he raped smal girls.. is this khalsa... singhs in 1984 died protecttin the darbar sahib n others.. but tis ppl.. khalsa was made to protect the poor n weak ppl n nt tke advantage... so tink urself.. thres so many lines in sri guru granth sahib ji maharaj telin nt to eat meat n the use of alcohol opium n all.. but den they r doin it.. whos wrong nw.. the guru????? cn d guru b wrong.. tink bout tis...
