The small Nihang Gurdwara at Chabba about 10km south of Amritsar is said to mark the site where the Mughal commander Jamal Khan severed the head of, the celebrated Sikh Shaheed, Baba Deep Singh. As the legend has it Baba Deep Singh continued to fight his way to the Harimandir Sahib at Amritsar with his heavy Kanda in his right hand and his head in his left. On reaching his final resting place he threw his head onto the rectangular walkway surrounding the temple.
