View north from Buddhist monastery: Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh

The Buddhist monastery at Tawang was founded nearly 150 years ago and is home to over 400 monks. At around 10,000ft and close to the Chinese border this remote spot was the birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama.
