A monk waits for his ploughman: Majuli, Assam

Although the monks do many of the agriculteral tasks themselves the heavier jobs like ploughing are done by the local tribal people.

A really natural shot that encapsulates the simplicity of life; just a couple guys working in the fields with someone looking on, (maybe on a break) just taking in the land. The land looks desolate almost barren, but is countered wonderfully by the misty red light – a great photo.
