Outside the entrance to the shrine of Shah-i-Hamdan: Srinager, Kashmir

Sha-i-Hamdan arrived from Persia in the 13th Century to spread the message of Islam to the people. His shrine on the bank of the river Jhelum in the old city of Srinager marks the place where he used to offer prayers to the faithful. The shrine is considered to be one of the most sacred and revered sites in Kashmir. Women and non Muslims are not allowed into the sanctuary. Here two women pray at the entrance which is ornately decorated  in traditional Kashmiri style.
